Understanding events in Wooclap: A comprehensive overview

An event is any gathering during which you'd like to interact with your audience, such as a class, a training session, a conference, and so on.

☝️ A Wooclap event consists of two tabs: the live session and the self-paced session. You can also find your event settings and start your event from there.

Live sessions

Live sessions are interactions with which you can gauge your audience's interest and knowledge in real-time. Insert these questions into presentations to maintain high attention rates and improve learning during your session.

Participants can see and answer a live session as long as it is displayed on the presenter's screen. In other words, everyone answers the same question at the same time.

Add Presentation

You can add a presentation to your event if you want to display it alongside your questions.

Once a presentation is added to your event, related settings become available and can be configured:

Start event

The Start event button can be used to launch the projected screen and begin presenting your event.

Self-paced sessions

Use self-paced sessions to share files and questionnaires with participants, which they will consult and fill in at their own pace, respectively. These surveys are a great way to ask your audience to prepare for an upcoming event or to review how well they can handle the material seen in a previous one.

Self-paced sessions are also an efficient way to gather feedback and discover your learners' interests. Use it to get to know your participants in anticipation of a class or a course and structure it accordingly.

As long as a questionnaire is online, participants will be able to access it, answer it, and review how well they did once they've completed it. This means every participant can fill in the questionnaire whenever they have time to do so.

Settings and useful features

Once you have created the event's content, you can adjust your event settings. Event settings are found under ⚙️ Settings in the top right corner of the screen. These settings are grouped in categories to make them easier to find and access.
