Discover Wooclap new event settings and how to share your events
Wooclap has reorganized the settings for your event so they are easier to navigate. This offers a more intuitive interface that makes it easier to discover settings and set up your event. This will also let you discover Wooclap's advanced settings more easily.
No features have been changed or removed: all existing options are still available and continue to work exactly as before. All your previous event's settings will stay the same.
All Wooclap users will have access to this new interface. Note that certain features are reserved for Wooclap users with a subscription.
Live session and Self-paces session
The Votes tab is now called Live Session (1). Here you will be able to set up and edit your questions to be presented in front of an audience. This is the default tab opened when you enter your event.
You will find the Participant Pace Questionnaires under Self-Paced Session (2). You will be able to set up asynchronous Questionnaires and share Files with your participants.
Settings
Event settings are now found under ⚙️ Settings in the top right corner of the screen. These settings are grouped in categories to make them easier to find and access.
Note that by default, only the Interactivity category is open and only the Display answers automatically setting is activated.
Interactivity
This category includes the following settings:
Timer for the whole event
Answer as a group (previously Team mode)
Display answers automatically: Participants' answers will be displayed as they are sent
Authentication
Here you will find settings to identify your participants during the event and in the reports. You will also be able to set up an attendance sheet for your event.
Message Wall
You can activate the Message Wall so participants can send their questions and images during the event.
Theme
You can edit the appearance of your presentation and add your logo thanks to the theme editor.
Themes are reserved for Wooclap users with a Pro subscription or whose organization has a subscription.
Participant devices
You can choose how participants will partake in your event. You can activate web answers and SMS answers.
SMS participations are available for Wooclap users with a Pro subscription or whose organization has a subscription.
Results
Under Results you can access your event's reports. You can also reset your event answers.
All Wooclap users can access reports, only users with a subscription can download the reports.
Share event
You will find all settings related to sharing your event under Share event in the top right corner of your screen.
Event code
You will find your event code under this button. You can copy the code and edit it.
This is the code your participants will use to join your event.
Share a copy via code
You can share a copy of your event with its code. For this, you need to activate the option under this category.
Add collaborators
You can add collaborators to co-create your event with collaborators.
Collaboration is available for Wooclap users with a Pro subscription or whose organization has a subscription.
Publish as template
You can share your event as a template for your whole organization.
Organizational templates are available to Wooclap users with an institutional license.
Exports
You can export your questions as an Excel file or in XML.
Add Presentation
Settings related to displaying a presentation are now grouped in a separate section, making them clearer and easier to access.
Once a presentation is added to your event, related settings become available and can be configured:
Insert questions (not available for Google Slides)
Start event
A Start event button has been added to launch the projected screen, making it easier to begin an event.
In most cases, this button works the same way as the Display button next to Join this Wooclap event: once you click on it, you will see the screen with the QR code and event code so participants can join your event.
If a presentation has been uploaded and you have inserted questions into it, clicking Start event will open the first slide of the presentation.
Other changes
Other minor changes have also been made, including the addition of explanations of each setting (accessible via the ? button).
Some features have new names :
Results visible by default has become Display answers automatically
I'm confused has become Let participants signal if they are confused
Team mode has become Answer as a group
Show slides on participant devices in real-time has become Display slides on participant devices when the event is live
Display participant usernames in real-time has become Display participants usernames
Note that this feature is only available for Framework, Brainstorming, Open Questions and the Message Wall.
