How can you use Wooclap for distance learning?

Get to grips with all the Wooclap tools that will help you run your sessions remotely

Learn how to use Wooclap for your remote courses and training sessions

Whether you teach live (synchronously) or ask learners to complete tasks independently (asynchronously), Wooclap is here to support you in your teaching activities or your online training sessions.

Wooclap is available within the Microsoft Teams and Zoom applications, and it also integrates with your LMS.

You can use Wooclap for distance learning in two different contexts:

  1. a synchronous distance-learning context, meaning a live session

  2. an asynchronous distance-learning context, in a self-paced session

☝️ Before your session, please remember to enable the authentication option for your event. This will allow you to identify your participants during your session and in your reports once the session has ended.

Please find out how to enable authentication options in our article: How can you identify participants?

Live learning

To share your event and launch your live session remotely, you can combine Wooclap with your video-conferencing software, such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, BigBlueButton, and so on. Simply share your screen and select the tab or the full window where your Wooclap event is displayed.

The message wall is an effective way to gather your audience's questions, comments, and thoughts during a presentation.

The "I'm confused" button allows you to see at a glance whether your participants are following the thread of your course or training session. This lets you adapt your session and revisit more complex points.

Creating quick questions allows you to create spontaneous checkpoints during the session, thereby reinforcing learning.

When your audience is seated in front of you, they can follow your presentation by looking at the slides you display. Remotely, however, this can become more complicated. That is why we have added the option to display slides on participants' devices.

Self-paced distance learning

Please learn how to create a self-paced questionnaire and publish it with our article: Self-paced session

You can also enable the Message wall for your asynchronous sessions. This will allow your learners to leave you feedback after their session, which you can then gather for your future training sessions.

At the end of a session, whether live or self-paced, you can retrieve reports on your events. This will allow you to assess your participants' knowledge, measure their performance, and adapt your future sessions.
