How to use Wooclap’s Quick questions for real-time interaction

Quick questions are real-time votes you can create during your presentation, in case you come across an interesting question, that you may have forgotten when preparing the lecture, or from participants.

Step 1: Create the quick question

During your presentation (or while asking another question), click the "+ button" in your toolbar to select a Quick question to add. You can choose between : Poll, Brainstorming, Timer, Spin the wheel, Open question, and Word cloud.

Select the type of question you want to use, and it will be created in a few seconds.

Step 2: Ask the quick question

Once the question has been created, it will automatically be launched.

Since the Quick question will appear blank, it is important to clearly ask the participants the question out loud or write it in the chat box of your call.

Poll

Here's an example of a poll with 4 choices. Since there isn't any information displayed, make sure to communicate :

  • What is the question asked

  • What are the choices/answers

  • How the choices/answers are ranked

Brainstorming

Quick brainstormings can be customized once they have been created. By clicking on the title of the column (e.g. 1, 2, 3,...), you can edit the name (e.g. Category 1).
Just like for the poll, the question has to be asked orally or written down.

Open question and Word Cloud

Open question and Word cloud simply require sharing the question with the participants. They can then send in their answers, which will be displayed in real-time.

Timer and Spin the wheel

Finally, to dynamize your presentation, you can add a Timer or a Spin the wheel question.

For the Timer, you can choose between the time frames available, and a countdown will start right away.

For the Spin the wheel question, you have the possibility to choose among your participants. You can also create a blank wheel, with your own propositions.

There you go, you can now add Quick questions to your Wooclap live presentation.
