Top Wooclap features for effective distance learning sessions

Wooclap was originally designed to be used in a classroom with a live audience. However, that doesn't mean it can't be used with an audience who are scattered through time and space.

Utilizing Wooclap features for enhances remote student engagement

Here are the main features you can implement in a distance learning setting:

  1. The participant pace: The Participant pace allows you to share files and create questionnaires which the audience can fill in whenever they want. Learn all about it here. This feature is only accessible to users on Basic and Pro subscriptions or that belong to an institutional licence.

  2. The message wall: The message wall is an efficient way for you to gather your audience's questions, comments, and thoughts during a presentation. It also has the added benefit of giving every member of the audience an equal chance at taking part in the debate. You'll find all the information you need to get started here.

  3. Display slides on student devices: When your students are sitting in front of you, they can follow your presentation by looking at the slides you are displaying at the front of the classroom. Remotely, however, things can get a bit more complicated. That's why we've added the option of displaying your slides on the students' devices. Find out how it works here!

  4. The "I'm confused" button allows you to see at a glance whether your participants are following the flow of your course.

  5. Quick questions, to create spontaneous checkpoints during the session and thus reinforce learning.

  6. The personalised participant report that you can send at the end of the course to help your participants review the different parts of the course and measure their performance.
