Using the Wooclap Timer for time management in presentations

As a presenter, managing time is crucial for keeping your audience engaged and ensuring that your presentation runs smoothly. The Wooclap Timer allows you to set specific time limits for activities and display countdowns on the board, making it easier to keep track of time and stay on schedule.

☝️ Note that this feature is different from the timer within a question.

Create a Timer

First, when you are in your event, click on New Question, and choose the Timer interaction type, under Showcase Information.

The Timer is also available as a Quick question, which is a real-time votes that you can create during your presentation.

Personalize the Timer

Once you have created your interaction, you can give a title to your timer or you can write instructions for your participants (1). You can determine how this text will be shown under Layut on the right-hand side of the screen (2). The same formatting rules apply as for a Slide.

You can then set the Timer by determining the minutes and seconds on the right-hand side of your screen (3).

Additionally, you can add an image to your Timer. You can add text which describes the image, in order to make it accessible to all. The position of this image can also be determined under Layout (2).

Display the Timer

When you display the question, the timer will start directly. You can reset the timer by clicking the button Reset Timer below the slide.
