Open question

Give participants the freedom to express themselves more fully

Updated over a week ago

The Open question allows you to gather detailed and qualitative information from participants by inviting them to provide their own thoughts, opinions, and explanations in an unrestricted manner. Open questions are designed to encourage free-form responses.

Create an Open question

First, open the event of your choice where you would like to add an Open question. You can also start from scratch by creating a brand-new event.

Customize the Open question

Once you have opened your Open question, you can personalise it and tailor it to your needs. Start by adding the question you want to ask. (1)

You can optionally add one or several correct answers to the question (2). If so, participants will be graded on their answer(s).

Eight options are available in the right-hand side menu:

When you are done preparing your question, you can either click on Save or Display now at the bottom of the screen to launch your Wooclap event.

Launch the Open question

Once you have clicked on Display now or Display, the question you have prepared will appear on your screen. You can then invite your participants to join your event and answer.

The results view per default is the grid view (1). It is also possible to display the results as a list (2) or as a Word Cloud (3).
