This question type is available for all Wooclap users.

How to create, customize and launch a Drag and Drop question

Create a Drag and Drop question

To create your Drag and Drop question, go into your event and click on New Question. You can then select Drag and Drop.

In need of inspiration? Check out the Examples gallery where you will find many pre-made Drag and Drop questions you can import into your event. For this, go into the Examples gallery in your event. You can then preview and add any example you see.

Customize your Drag and Drop question

Once you have opened your Drag and Drop question type, you can add your question or instructions. Then, upload an image from your computer.

A zone to determine a correct answer will automatically be present when you upload your image. You can place this zone wherever you want on the image and change its size so it fits the image. On the right, you will be able to write the name of the label. This is the label participants will have to place on the correct zone.

You can add more zones by clicking on the + or by clicking on the image. You can also blur an area to hide some parts of the image.

Click on the garbage can on the top-right of your zone or next to the label to delete it. If you have the "Correct answer" option activated, this will only work if you have 2 or more labels or zones.

Clicking on Reset will delete your image and created labels. This is useful if you want to start over the creation of your Drag and Drop question.

Furthermore, you can add a timer to your question.

Finally, you can create a Drop and Drag question without determining a correct answer. You can toggle this option off next to Correct Answer on the right of the editing screen. In this case, you can still create labels, but there will be no zone to place as participants will be able to freely place their pins.

Do not forget to save your question before presenting it!

Launch the Drag and Drop question

Once you have clicked on Display now or Display, the question you have prepared will appear on your screen. You can then invite your participants to join your event and answer.

As a presenter, you can show the different answers you have received under Results on the left of your screen. If you have activated the Correct answer option, you will also be able to show the expected answer(s).

Participate in a Drag and Drop question

As the name of the question suggests, participants will be able to select a label on the bottom of their screen and drag it onto the (correct) answer. Once they drop the label, it will register as their answer.

Participants are able to edit their answer by dragging the label to another zone of the image. Once submitted, the answers will not be editable anymore.
