How can I gather comments on answers?

Discover how participants can comment their answers in a MCQ or Poll.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Do you want to gather comments when participants answer a MCQ or a Poll? This is possible thanks to the Allow Comments option. This way participants can explain their answers or give extra context.

This functionality is available to all Wooclap users for the MCQ and Poll question.

Allowing comments on answers

Activate the option to allow comments

First, create a new MCQ or Poll question (1), or edit an existing one (2).

Once you are editing your question, you can activate the option Allow Comments on the right of the screen. This will activate the possibility for participants to add their comment once they have chosen an answer.

After saving your question, you can display it to your audience. You can also click on Display now so your audiences can immediately answer the question.

Launch the MCQ or Poll with comments allowed

Once displayed, participants will be able to choose their answer and comment on it. The option to comment will appear once a participant has clicked on their answer. Participants have 180 characters to give their comment. After validating their answer, they can check the answer they gave.

Note that giving a comment is optional. Participants may validate their answer without commenting.

Check the comments in the report

After presenting your event, you will be able to find the comments in the event's report.

You can click on each answer to see the comments your audience left. You will see the number of comments on the right of each answer option.

You can also see the comment each participant left in the individual report as well as in the Grid view. Additionally, you will find them in the downloaded results (Excel or PDF).
