Configure Wooclap as an LTI 1.3 tool
⚠️ You need to be logged in as an administrator on Brightspace to be able to add an external tool with LTI 1.3
Register a tool
1. Go to the Admin tools and select the menu item Manage extensibility
2. In the LTI Advantage tab, click the Register Tool button
3. When the registration tool opens, select the Standard registration
4. Fill in the following information on the registration tool page

5. Allow the different services and roles to be provided to the Wooclap tool
Assignment and Grade Services: allow Wooclap to synchronize the grade to Brightspace
Deep Linking: enable the Deep Linking option to have the best experience
Send Institution Role: allow Wooclap to know if the connected user is a teacher or a student
6. Once the tool is registered, a pop-in is displayed with the configuration details.
These registration details are important and must be copied for the next steps
Deploy a tool
1. Open the Admin tools menu and go to the item External Learning Tools
2. In the tab LTI Advantage, click on the New Deployment button
3. Fill in the fields for the deployment informations
Tool: select the one you previously created
Name: your deployment name, which will be displayed for your teachers
Description: your tool deployment description visible for your teachers
4. Check the Assignment and Grade Services to allow grade sync between Wooclap and Brightspace. Then check User Information and Link Information for the Security Settings
User Information: this is required to create and identify the user on the Wooclap tool
Link Information: this is required to map the Brightspace link name to the Wooclap event name
5. Do not forget to make the tool available to the Org Units you want
6. Once the tool deployment is created, a pop-in is displayed with the details.
These deployment details are important and must be copied for the next steps
Create a Link to make Wooclap accessible when creating content
Once the Wooclap learning tool has been deployed, you need to create a Link accessible when creating content
1. Go to the Wooclap deployment you created during the previous state
2. On the deployment edit page, scroll down to the bottom to access the View Links
3. Click on New Link button
4. Fill in the information for the link

Description | The description of the tool that will be displayed to teachers in the activity list. |
Type | Deep Linking Quicklink |
💡Tip: You can adjust the default size of the Deep Linking Quicklink to:
Width: 1200
Height: 800
5. Save and Close
6. To confirm the link is now available, you can check it in content creation
Provide the created LTI 1.3 configuration to Wooclap
Once you have registered the external tool (Wooclap), you need to provide its configuration details to Wooclap.
1. First, you need to retrieve the details of your tool (Wooclap) registration
Open the Admin tools menu and select the Manage Extensibility item
2. In the LTI Advantage tab, you can search by the tool name you provided during registration
And click the correct registration
3. Scroll down the page to retrieve the registration details
You can copy these details
4. Then you need to retrieve the deployment details
Open the Admin Tools menu and select the External Learning Tools item
5. In the LTI Advantage tab, you can search by the tool deployment name you provided during registration
And click the correct deployment
6. Scroll down the page to get the Deployment details. You can copy these details
7. Provide the following information to your Wooclap contact with the mail template below
Issuer
Client Id
Deployment Id
Brightspace Keyset URL
Brightspace OAuth2 Access Token URL
OpenID Connect Authentication Endpoint
