Configure Wooclap as an LTI 1.3 tool
⚠️ You need to be logged in as an administrator on Blackboard to be able to add an external tool with LTI 1.3
Register an LTI 1.3 / Advantage Tool
1. Go to System Admin, and in the Integrations panel, click on LTI Tool Providers
2. Click on the Register LTI 1.3/Advantage Tool button
3. Fill in the Client ID input

⚠️ Make sure you check the Tool Status property as Approved
4. Please be sure to authorize the following permissions:
Role in Course: to allow Wooclap to know if a teacher or a student is authenticated
Name: to allow Wooclap to create the profile
Email Address: to allow Wooclap to identify the user
Allow grade service access: allow Wooclap to sync the grade of the event to the Blackboard gradebook
5. The Wooclap LTI 1.3 integration is now available
6. Open the Wooclap provider contextual menu and click on Manage Placements
7. Click on the Synchronize Placements link
8. A Wooclap-configured placement is automatically added to the list
9. You can edit this placement by clicking on Edit in its contextual menu
10. Be sure to fill in the following pieces of information:
Availability: Yes
Allows grading: to allow grade sync between Wooclap and Blackboard
Target Link URI:
https://app.wooclap.com/api/lti13/launch
11. Your LTI 1.3 Wooclap integration is now finalized on the Blackboard side
Provide the created LTI 1.3 configuration to Wooclap
Once you have registered the external tool (Wooclap), you need to provide the details of this configuration to your Wooclap contact.
1. Go to the System Admin menu tab, and in the Integrations panel, click on LTI Tool Providers
2. On your LTI 1.3 integration tool, click on Edit in its contextual menu
3. On this screen, please copy the following information that will be useful for the next steps:
Client ID
Deployment ID
4. Provide the following pieces of information to your Wooclap contact with the email template below:
Client ID
Deployment ID
Additionally, we require a homepage URL, which is the URL of your Blackboard instance.
Example: university.blackboard.com
